The Anchorage | |||||
![]() |
Access | First calanque West of Cassis | |||
Draught | <6-7m | ||||
Description | It is a kind of boat parking and it is very difficult to find there a free place.
Super shelter by SE and E wind. Do not anchor nearby the entry, where the swell enters. Anchor with stern moored to a ring of the cliff and bow moored on a buoy. |
||||
Anchorage | The nearest calanque from Cassis. The most picturesque too. Very steep, it is long of more than 1 km while narrowing towards the end.
Since some years, yellow buoys limiting the anchorage area are installed in Summer. that anchorage should be on buoys and charged (15€ for 10m). |

Victualling | |||||
Various svces | The Nautical Club organises each year very popular regattas. | Setting | Much crowded by the trip boats from Cassis.
The name of this calanque shall be written and pronounced pòrt-miu en API (pOR’miw); as Northmen could not pronounce the sound (iw), the writing and, further, the pronounciation were misquoted. |
