Approach | Harbour master
by Day | Arrive preferably before 11h because the wind blows then generally from the East; at about 15h30, it turns to West (15 to 20 Kn), clearly stronger and in the axis of the entry. | Harbour VHF
by Night | To avoid absolutely due to the narrowness of the basin. | Rescue
Dangers | Prudently Approach the quay, because big blocks limit the draught at some places; first have a look then berth. | Forecast svces

Access | ||||
Draught | Always control the draught at quay before to moor
Description | During the approach, one does’nt feel that there are free berths, but generally there are possibilities to moor.
![]() The idéal is to moor at the South quay, after having carefully controlled the draught at quay (I do insist on that point t oavoid you to manoeuver again and again). Moor the longest rope possible (+/- 35m), and come slightly slant (look at the mooring axis of the small boats) because the afternoon wind is stronger and in the axis of the entry, that is full abeam. The bollards are old granite columns. Careful if the meltem begins to blow hard, the wind axis will always be East. |
||||
Services | Water at the Eden restaurant.
Heavy svces | Anchorage | At South and SE quays, big blocks of rocks limit at some places the draught, that is elsewhere of about 3m.
a small pontoon easy the access to the quay of the Eden restaurant, but ask the waisters if you can moor there. |

the Place | |||||
Victualling | Quite nothing in the harbour | Rental svces
Various svces | Setting | Not crowded, this place is really nice, a real pearl, with restaurants built in the local stone and a nice atmosphere.
A dolmus goes every 30’ to the ruins that occupies the summit near the Assos village. By foot, 30’ of ascencion. You’ll discover there a superb panorama on the channel. |
NOTE : Il difficilement question d’y mouiller.
